Socrates once said:
There is only one good, knowledge, and one evil, ignorance.
Over the centuries, humans have built our modern society with knowledge. Archimedes, Newton, Euler, Einstein… These great names are remembered because of the contributions of their owners to human knowledge.
knowledge is my lifelong pursuit, and this is why this blog exists. I want to preserve, share and discuss my knowledge and thoughts. So, it is delightful to meet you here.
Now talk about me. I am Weiran Huang. Currently I am an fourth-year undergraduate studying Computer Science at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. I worked as an intern in Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences from May, 2018 to May, 2019, doing research on network embedding and graph neural networks. I worked on the same topic in the summer of 2019 in Penn State University when I was a summer intern under the supervision of Professor Suhang Wang. After coming back from the US, I began my internship in the Deep Learning Lab, MOMO Inc, working on researching and developing of 3D reconstruction algorithms. Next month, I will join Microsoft Research Asia as an R&D intern to work on Spatial-Temporal Prediction problems for traffic scheduling and resource optimization.
My interests range from machine learning to football. My favorite machine learning algorithm is Word2Vec, and the sci-fi writer I love most is Issac Asimov. My football home team is FC Barcelona, and my favorite players are Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr. I also play football myself, I am a left-footed winger who like to play on the right.
