There is only one good, knowledge, and one evil, ignorance.
I am currently a graduate student at the University of Texas at Austin majoring in Software Engineering and Systems. I am also a graduate research intern at TACC under the supervision of Dr. Zhao Zhang. Previously, I obtained my bachelor degree in Computer Science from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. Between these two experiences, I spent one year at the Chinese University of Hong Kong for a Ph.D. degree, but I ended up changing my mind to pursue a master’s degree instead because I found myself more intrigued by the real-world problems in industry.
During my undergraduate life, I had worked on deep learning; however, now I am more interested in system topics: the database systems, operating systems, distributed systems, etc. In my first semester at UT Austin, I am taking:
- EE 460N Computer Architecture.
- EE 461S Operating Systems
- SDS 394C Parallel Computing for Science & Engineering
